Hey, I'm so sorry ur going thru all that, I can't imagine what it would be like not to be able to spend time with your child. I agree with the other posts - I think you should def try and change doc - you are entitled to do that in the UK, I know someone who changed docs a couple of times and the 3rd was the one who he felt most comfortable with... also, are you seeing any one else like a therapist/psych/counsellor? If you are, how's that going? If not, I would suggest that you request a referral thru your doc (or new doc).
Your local authority may be unhelpful, but they do have a duty by law to house you - sounds good in theory, but I know the reality is quite different.
The housing laws recently changed in the UK. Once you are 'homeless' they have a duty to house you immediately. That may mean emergency accommodation for a while, (not sure about England, but in Scotland it's a max of 28 days in emerg accomm) but at least it's a roof over your head. If you're not working and are on benefits then you may be able to access funding to pay the deposit and rent for a private let - If you've not already done so, pop into your local office or look at the website for C.A.B. (
www.adviceguide.org.uk). It must be a really worrying situation. I hope you do manage to sort something out, but what I'm saying is, don't give up on it, there are organisations out there who are not part of the local authority and really can and do help people in situations like yours - good luck...
Thinking of you...
