Well... since I'm elderly I don't have to struggle with job-related anxiety anymore. But back when I was employed I spent a good share of my time daydreaming about ways to escape whatever anxiety-provoking situation I happened to be in. (And there were a lot of them!) I still find myself doing this on a regular basis. It's just not work-related anymore.

Sometimes, nowadays, I'll have occasion to take our dog for a walk late at night. And walking along the dark deserted sidewalks it's not unusual for me to fantasize about simply walking off into the night alone never to be seen or heard from again. Even just writing about that here in this reply it sounds delicious.
