Hey there, TunedOut,

Your calm, logical attitude is inspiring. (That said, it's okay if you're not calm and logical at some point.)

How do you feel emotionally, though?

I appreciate that you've let us know what's going on. (You're correct; it is concerning and upsetting when a "regular" disappears suddenly. We are a support group and we care about each other.)
Please, if you can, keep us up to date on how you're doing.

I understand your belief about the drinking, but I caution you to be mindful of blaming yourself for having cancer

I hate to be one of "those" people who says, "Well, my *insert relation here* had cancer, and..."

That said, I will be one of those people. My sister was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer, had a double mastectomy (also several lymph nodes removed), chemo, and lived for a full 20 years, despite being a heavy smoker (even during those 20 years).

Cancer is so random, affects people in vastly different ways.

You are instantly in my prayers.

Like I said...please keep us posted. I will be checking this board for your updates
