I second what LT said - my state is the same. All parties have to be aware they are being recorded or it's illegal. Your therapist may feel there was a breach of trust in being recorded without her knowledge whether it's legal or not. She may not consent to being recorded - I've seen therapists on reddit say they would not agree. I think this is to cover their asses because they fear recordings might be used against them. However, I have also read of clients whose therapists are ok with it and see the value in such a practice.
