Thought this could be fun. I will share two good ones.

One came from my longtime, very old-fashioned psychiatrist as I was transitioning to a new, recently trained one. She had learned he had started me on Provigil and was pissed that I was feeling better. She believed all problems should be solved by talk therapy.

Anyway, at one point in the visit, she turned to me and basically yelled: "Yeah, well, I'm sure I' d feel good, too, if I was on speed!!!"

Totally awesome. I burst out laughing. She was awesome, though.

Other one was at the end of my 5 years at the state hospital. My very bright pdoc, who had the personality of a cardiac surgeon, meaning, super-blunt. Just so you know, I was in a monitoring program and had taken one of my meds incorrectly for like, a week. Ridiculous. Anyhow, she just randomly turned to me in the hall and said: "You know, Cyclist, your whole reason for being in the hospital was totally bogus."

5 years of my life. Honesty.
