It's central air conditioning so all these lines run through every apartment's walls up to the roof where there is some kind of condenser. Only one unit doesn't have AC...in my place everything works great. So it isn't even my problem. They think a line is broken somewhere along the way. Yeah, so they are just ripping out walls!

They ripped out my wall then today called me and said the air conditioning people can't come out for a week. They have to look at the lines in my place to determine they are okay. The maintenance men already said they were okay...there was no leak or anything. But the air conditioning guys have to investigate it before the hole in the wall is fixed. So I have a plastic bag over an enormous hall in the wall, had to clean up plaster dust, and everything is out of my bathroom.

I have decided am not re-signing my lease...so am busy looking for a new place. If I was staying here I would probably be more upset. Stay in one apartment long enough and something bad happens.

My last apartment had water leaks so bad I had to move my bed out into the living room. They kept giving me "updates" about how they were trying to find the leak. Then lease time came around, the leak hadn't been fixed, and they had the nerve to raise the rent a couple hundred dollars because they said they were going to redo the kitchen (which was absolutely fine as it was) -- so I moved. They were going to have me move to an empty apartment for two months while they redid the kitchen in my place...with all my stuff in it. And paying increased rent. Like WFT!

These two places are advertised as "luxury" complexes and have great curb appeal and look beautiful in photographs. All of it is BS.
