I try to remind myself that Narcotic pain medication is just a controlled, clean dose of Heroine, Opium or Cocaine.
As such I treat it just like any addictive substance.
If I had Chronic Pain I would be considering nerve blocking or hypnotherapy before I was on a steady set of narcotics.
