I am not sure how you have it set up. TapaTalk has a stream of the forums and threads you subscribe to, so it might be the view you are looking at.
Eta: here is a screenshot. If you look at the top and see how I have the chat box view selected, then I can select a timeline or unread or subscribed threads. Timeline is the forums you're subscribed to. Unread is anything unread in those forums. Subscribed is specifically the threads you've commented on or hit subscribe.
To the left of this view on the top menu, you see an icon like the bullet list. That's where you view the layout like on the website.
