Thank you for your thread. You’re right. Many times we take for granted that our love ones are gonna be there with us forever and we blame ourselves for the wasted time once they went off.
I see it as a defence mechanism, it’s a lie from our brain. If we didn’t have it at least at a low level, we couldn’t cope with many daily routines in our lives.

I can picture myself how much you miss your doggie, I have two pieces of heaven too and one of them is old so, I can understand your feelings.
Sure you took care of him a lot but never it’s enough. Doggies live for such a few time compare with us.
