I started taking Risperdal in mid January 2008 for psychosis. Okay, everything was fine, it didn't make me tired, didn't make me feel bad or anything like Seroquel did.

The only side effects that I noticed was weight gain, then later on low blood pressure and the weirdest:

I couldn't walk much.

I noticed this in mid February. I had to work hard to keep up with my friends when we were walking out in the town. And it was a regular pace, I swear, I have always been able to keep up with them.

Excercise was definitely out of question. It was torture, even a mile long walk was too much. I hadn't even gone halfway and I was already panting like I had run five miles.

I thought it was because I had gained weight, but when I had run out of Risperdal and then forgotten to take it for five consecutive days and took a walk, I was able to do much more.

Anyone experienced this, or does anyone have an explanation for this phenomenon? Does it even have a name? My pdoc and T refuse to admit it's Risperdal, but it stopped right away when I quit taking it.
