Yes, from my experience it is a common thing. I've just gone back on Elavil and I have twitches. I had a severe reaction of my tongue twisting and couldn't speak many years ago after being injected with haldol- please talk to your doctor as there are meds to counteract these effects I believe, back then, in my country it was called cogentin? It almost instantly reversed that scary effect. Best wishes Moose
