Yes, I didn't handle it the best way. I was afraid to approach my boss's boss, and I was afraid to confront the issue with the CEO. I was intimidated by my boss, and I was afraid it would get back to him and backfire on me somehow. I also thought that HR could help. She did help somewhat by tracking my achievements for me every month in writing. I did that for four months.
But now I know better. Don't go to HR.
But yeah, generally speaking, I hear a lot about bullying at work, and I hear all too often that it's the whistleblower who gets in trouble, not the bully.
