I was struggling a lot in therapy because I was stuck in a pattern of withholding. In February I started a new personal approach to therapy that seems to be working for me. In the past I would spend the 2 weeks between sessions, over analyzing topics that I avoided or comments that withheld. Now, I try my best to start each new session by disclosing one thing I withheld or that plagued my thoughts between the sessions. This has been very difficult, but my T seems to have picked up on what I am doing and responded positively.
