well, i don't know how serious it is - though i have a few ideas in my head. and i hear you on the dentist thing -> i'm in the same boat. i called two new places, only to find out they don't take my insurance, so that made things a tad harder.
anyways.... how serious, i don't know. what i do know is that i've started in with at least 2 new symptoms just in the past week and a half. i doubt that is a good thing
