I bet you're glad she decided you're not DID afterall aren't you? It's a diagnosis you've been fighting against since the beginning. So is the dissociation part of your PTSD then or just that you tend to do it when nervous and it's not part of a disorder? Either way, it's good that you don't have DID.
Now,if you haven't already,you can work on handling emotions when you're nervous so you don't dissociate.
Im sure what you experience isn't unheard of,Im sure you're not the only one. It's just a coping mechanism. No different really than any other coping mechanism that's become maladaptive. I smoke when Im nervous,some people drink,some do rituals, there's all kinds of things people do. You just happen to dissociate.
Maybe just focus on learning ways to deal with your nervousness rather than questioning all of it?
