Candybear, you are right I have never gone through the same experience with a child. i can feel your pain about the situation. It may not make you feel better but it really makes me think alot of you. You felt you could not take care of a child and did the best thing you could at the time. That takes a very special person. Very giving and unselfish! If I was your child, I would love you even more for that!
