Yes, but not as much as my European husband. I tend to prefer the more woodsy and meaty mushrooms. Chanterelles are lovely, though. When I have purchased them (expensive and sometimes hard to find) I usually make them in eggs or a veal dish. My husband once ordered a dish in the Alsace region of France, years back, where they were sauteed with calves kidneys and then flambeed with Cognac. I'm not a fan of kidneys, and it's next to impossible to find them for sale in stores near me. Mushroom picking, in general, is also much more common in my husband's native country. He knows how to identify a number of them in the wild, but I don't. Maybe I'll have some chanterelles in about a month or so, since we're going to France, Spain, and Czech Republic. I hope.

What is the fanciest (or oddest) meal that you have ever had?
