I'm sure you have already been told that persons with Manic Depression (Bipolar) have a higher risk of suicide as their bouts of depression can be much more intense.

If you feel suicidal you should share these thoughts with someone you trust, prefferably a therapist.

It can take some time for the medication to work but the slow increase is better for you. Just keep looking forward to the day you are in balance and try to keep something in your mind that you know will prevent you from comitting suicide.
