I know you know this, but I'm going to say it anyways, but messing around with meds on your own is never a good idea.
I take seroquel for anxiety - but I'm on a way higher dose, 800 mg / day. I find it's a good med for me, but yes it can make me light headed and dizzy. I remember one time when I accidentally took my morning meds twice, which was seriously dumb, so I wound up with 400 vs normal 200 mg of seroquel in my system. I was so dizzy I could barely stand up. I basically had to just go back to bed and sleep it off.
Paradoxically seroquel is more sedating at lower doses for most people, so if it's being prescribed for insomnia - overkill in my opinion, 25 - 50 mg would normally be an adequate dose.
