There is much more we can all be. But there is only so much money and resources that we can gain in our lives... fulfillment must come from the things that don't cost money.
If I had a ferrari right now, I'd probably sell it too (after driving the **** out of it for a day or two) because I wouldn't be able to afford the gas or the insurance.
I know I could probably be more than I am if I wanted to. But I’m doing so f***ing good right now, I don’t want to change anything.
I’ve heard that it doesn’t matter how many toys or possessions you have, it won’t matter if you are someone who has problems with the free things. For example, a man with a 5-million dollar house and four 1-million dollar cars and a trophy wife will not be as happy as the janitor who barely makes ends meet, but has a great relationship with his family.
So when you say you want to be more than you are, what does that really mean? Do you want to be happier? Do you want more money? Do you want to do things that are more engaging than your boring desk job? Do you want to go bungee jumping? Or do you just want to have sex with someone you are in love with?
BTW, I am 24 and I have learned that God is not helping me, you, or anyone. He wants you to help yourself. He ain’t gonna give you anything if you don’t reach for it. I actually don’t believe in God, but that’s a whole other story…
And I also think that believing there is something 'on the other side of this life' is like hoping for an inheritance. One should plan not to get it, because what if there is nothing.....?????
