That sentence describes a number of psych disorders, but one of them (in my experience) is bipolar disorder. Add in psychotic symptoms and I would call either BD1 or s-affective, depending upon other details such as, is your psychosis mood-related or is it independent of mood changes?...is there some sort of substance involved?
It's that mood disregulation...doesn't necessarily need to be specific, clean-cut episodes...has more of a presentation of every minute being intense and flaring or plunging, or both at the same time. That's why mood tracking can be surprisingly helpful.
