There are a LOT of Estrangement sites on Facebook. I belong to 3 of them. My advice would be to try to find one that doesn't have a huge amount of members , at first at least as it is too hard to remember and follow everyone's story and that's part of the healing , hearing how similar everyone's story is is what makes you finally realize that you are not alone and that it is very common.. There seem to be 3 categories of estrangement, alienation by an ex, an interfering spouse of the adult child and the you are no longer good enough for me with or without explanation. Just sort of fades out of your life starting with not making eye contact, short one word answers, not returning messages, or emails or texts to suddenly going no contact. The reason for the last category is often never really known. We don't talk about our estrangement to many, reason - judgement. My EAC eventually told enough lies that they brought one of my other children over, 5 years in, and is now working on the other adult child. People think " well if her children don't speak to her she must be horrible" Only another estranged parent can understand.
