We have not so good credit due to the previous recessions and my husband being out of work for a year. I know there is medical debt. Is there a company or state program/organization that helps you dispute/ repair credit that is not one of those shady expensive companies? I just need someone who knows the game to help us dispute debts/ make them better. I hate debt collectors. Imagine I you owe me 5$. But i decide that my mom can have the debt to collect so I sell her the debt for 1$. Now my mom gets to collect on the 5$ and add fees because she wants to. Now instead of you owing the debt to me, you now owe her plus whatever she tacks onto it. How is that fair? I living in Burlington County NJ.
