Hello Christmas cookie.

For me deep breathing exercises help me when I'm anxious and I'm doing them even when I'm not anxious so that they're second nature. I have occasionally found that grounding exercises help me refocus on the here and now. I'm also reading and have found pretty helpful, "Hope and Help for Your Nerves" by Dr. Claire Weekes. Lastly, I like progressive muscle relaxation and I do that before bed to help me sleep, though you could do them at any time.
