Hello, all you new folks to Psych Central and/or to this forum.

I would hope if I ever live with one of my children--I don't think they would even ask me--that I could pitch in somehow. Fold clothes, cook, watch the grandkids, or something. I hope they would tell me how they feel and if they see me as a burden, I could somehow make things better. But I'd want to have my own life, too-get out some, if I could or even get out of their sight for a bit.

I still have my hubby. I need to learn to be more independent in case he dies first. But I suffer from lots of pain as well as bipolar. He is bipolar, too. We take our meds and see our health specialists and learn to cope when one of us is sleeping a lot or whatever.

I do think hobbies are important. I'm not crafty, but I read and write, color pictures, and watch a lot of TV--as well as coming here and getting involved.

I belong to a writers' group associated with my church, too. That's something new ,and I am blessed for that!
