Due to being pregnant I have tried to be super extra careful ( and a little overboard as I was told at my job but I'm working on that). Also I hear on the news that their are people who won't wear their masks in public and a friend of the family ended up getting COVID despite following all the precautions. I am trying to stay safe as my kid is due any day and it is extremely important that I'm not giving birth alone and that my husband will be there for the birth. Stupid priority I guess. Anyhow we got a new car and have to get it registered. DMV says I have to be there. No exceptions. I do not think this is appropriate given the COVID situation and its risky and dangerous for any individual who is in a high risk category. I'm not expecting royal treatment but a reasonable alternative such as being able to do the form online or over the phone would be nice. Nope go wait with the crazy antimaskers! Maybe they won't cough on you because you're pregnant! This crap has done a number on my anxiety and after hearing they won't make an exception....I'm ****ing done. I am not putting myself or my unborn child at risk for this. I may not like talking on the phone but I'd rather do this over the phone! Or do it online and mail it back. It sounds to me like they dont care about anyone's safety. And before anyone says go wait in the car......I'm not sure they are going to let me do that and I dont feel that this would be fair on my husband's part because he'd have to go back and forth with paperwork. I'm sorry for the pity party and whining. If I sounded like a Karen I'm sorry. It's just that this is dangerous, we have too many antimasker idiots running around, it's obvious the DMV could care even less than they usually do and I've just had it with the disregard.
