Cue cards are your friends... if not that, using powerpoint (slides) and doing it that way... having something tactile to play with is easier for me than reading a gynormous textbook. Maybe you can get your teens to help you study? Might get rid of them quick enough to leave you alone...

Math is icky... Any way to say it out loud to yourself while doing it? Give yourself plenty of breaks... 5-10 minute break for a 30minute study session. Maybe having something to munch on at the same time (like peanuts... I think I heard they're good for the brain).
