I have a heck of a time making decisions! I have noticed that either I spend days/weeks/months making a decision, getting caught up in the tiny details to avoid making a decision (and feel responsible if it was the wrong decision) or else I make a cursory stab at research/planning and then just pick the first thing I see. The bigger the decision, the more likely I am to just pick something out of a hat. (buying my last house & my last 2 cars were like this, as well as both of my marriages)
I can't find a middle ground. As soon as I start trying to make a considered decision, I either get caught in the minute details, or I get a compulsion to just pick something and get it over with. So I put it away to avoid picking the wrong thing - and it'll be months before I pick it up again!!! Which is another way of avoiding making the decision.

Thoughts/suggestions welcome!
