Best - 19987-1991 in university. Had an amazing experience, loved every second of it.
Worst - ages 14-18. This was a year after my Mom died and my Dad started dating and married a woman who was an absolute B towards me. I basically wasn't allowed out of the basement and had to be out of the house as much as possible.
There've been a couple of other years that are up there in contention for worst, but my teens still win.
