So. Do. I. Tears me up. All of the destroyed nature, yes. But the animals...that is just too much.
Not far from where I live is the University of California, Davis School of Veterinary Medicine. The largest one in the world. They do all they can to rescue and treat animals that have survived the fires, but are injured. I just force myself to look on the bright side of it. There are SO many animals that ARE saved! And so many owners of domestic animals reunited with their pets. It happens a lot!
