I have totally heard of this! I was just telling my mother exactly on the apples of my cheeks where the mask sits on my face I'm getting breakouts. I already have skin issues that I see a dermatologist for and I'm going to ask her about it when I see her again. All I can say is if you sweat like me give yourself mask breaks at your house if you can.
