Sarah, I have a Maine Coon mix rescue. He was about two weeks old when his cat mom abandoned him. I carried him around inside my shirt and bottle fed him. He literally thinks I'm his mom. He is very affectionate with me, but not other people. He also has strong opinions what behavior he accepts from humans and other critters. He will smack the crap out of anyone who does something he does not like. He can be downright cranky at times. On the flip side he loves to snuggle with me. My understanding is that the cranky behavior is atypical of Maine Coons, but his mother was feral and heaven knows what his father was.
