Melatonin can be good for sleep, but I have read that it is contraindicated for depression. Maybe it depends on what kind of depression you have though.
I'm sorry she wasn't more help to you. I hope your T helps you more. Pdocs these days mostly write prescriptions and don't spend that much time with people. Your T should be teaching you how to cope, but that's still hard. What are you doing to cope?
