I had a conversation about this with a friend of mine who used to work in a clinic as admin staff. She said that a lot of Ts who haven’t gone back to f2f yet are actually enjoying their jobs more working remotely and because of that they are no longer in any rush to return. Apparently quite a few have said that they are getting a much better work/life balance working from home, majority of their clients don’t mind it, they don’t miss f2f as much as they thought they would and it saves them money by not renting an office space.
I’m not saying that is the case for your T or for every T but I do think it is quite a common occurrence. I really don’t think some Ts realise the effect not having f2f contact is having on their clients and how much distress it is causing them. But I guess also they are experiencing the pandemic alongside their clients and feel they need to do what is best to protect their own mental health.
It sucks though and I’m so sorry it’s causing you so much distress 🙁
