I’ve been charged by my counselor’s office for telehealth visits that my insurance covers. Some of them were billed incorrectly and some of them they just haven’t reimbursed me for. They probably owe me about $200. I’ve tried for more than a month to resolve the issue and they continue to blow me off. I like the counselor. What do I do? I finally got upset this evening and told the billing person I would report them to the Better Business Bureau. I don’t want this issue to ruin the relationship with my counselor but why should I pay money that my insurance company will easily reimburse them? Also, they continue to make mistakes on my bill so I’m apprehensive to keep seeing my counselor when they will likely continue to mistakenly bill me for visits as in-office that are actually telehealth.
