Last year I was late planting but planted a Beefsteak, an Early Girl and a Roma and did fine with them. The Early Girl and Roma were the best. I bought a small hand grinder to do the Roma's in and try to make spaghetti sauce, LOL, but it was too long and hard and I didn't have the patience. Otherwise I had an "Italian"-themed garden, with onion sets, a sweet banana pepper, oregano, garlic chives, and parsley.
I also bought one of those
hanging tomato trees from Gardener's Supply for my balcony that holds 3 "somethings" and planted 2 different types of cherry tomatoes and a cucumber plant and they all did more than wonderful!
