For the past about 40 years, I have noticed a pattern of slipping into mild depression in about September and it worsens until December. Anxiety also can increase, perhaps as a response to the depression. Unusually and unexpectedly, last December-February, I went into hypomania.

Having bright full-spectrum (daylight) lights in the mornings usually helps reduce the seasonal depression part for me. Reducing it to where I can cope helps.
