I would say that these songs are not totally sad but they can be considered more like "advice" songs. About how to get along with those who are different - albeit physically, emotional, and racial differences. Even though these three songs were out around 50 years ago, if you pay attention to the words, they seem very appropriate for the times now in 2020. The third song I have on here is still popular today.
