well, funny thing about daydreams - it's all imagery.
imagery can be used to map out possibilities for ourselves.
that is how many people create businesses, wonderful works of art, crafting, architecture, etc.
it works in the creative process, as a map.
so, use imagery to map a course for your life, include in it your own dream circumstances ... that would be a wonderful way to rise above lower expectations we have on ourselves presently, or to reclaim parts of ourselves we may have left somewhere or forgotten.
meanwhile, we are guiding (using) our minds to imagine fulfilling our desires.
that sounds good, doesn't it?

at least, if we don't attach ourselves to the outcome, we can have a nice time imagining a better life for ourselves, even if it's not about things, but a happier, healthier life - it's got to be good - like a prayer, yes?
