I'm completely behind here. Hugs to all! Today I will try to get some reading in. I want to force myself to take it a little easier.

Yesterday was intensely busy! I had five separate buyers of vintage items come. I had had about four buyers of stuff in days before. Making moolah is nice and direly needed! We also gave stuff away for free. The advantage to having people come is that you can often get them to go home with more than they intended. Also, a few hoisted what they came for from our basement or second floor, sparing us some back breaking work. We still have a couple of antiques we want to sell. Other less valuable stuff may end up at the end of our driveway for bulk pickup day, which is conveniently on October 14th. The day before yesterday was conveniently electronics recycling day and paper shredding day at locations in my county. I've already made two trips in the past 30 days to a medication drop off at the police station. Two big bags worth! We also donated foodstuffs to a food pantry. I scheduled a Vietnam Vets donation pick up in November. You know, they are basically the only ones picking up during the pandemic. Also, last week I managed to consign 17 clothes items. That was only about half that I brought.

You'd be surprised some of the stuff people get ultra excited about to buy. When I posted my vintage colored Pyrex mixing bowls on Craigslist, I got three eager inquiries so quickly that I had to take the listing down after only 15 minutes. The people who did not get it asked that I contact them if the first inquirer falls through. Even a vintage Hitachi Chime-O-Matic rice cooker elicited excitement. It helped that I offered these particular items for free.

My husband has a giant real 14 point elk antler rack from his father who was a hunter. Luckily it's been hidden in the basement stairway all of these years! But Hubby looked it up and they fetch over $1,000. Can you believe that!?!? I hope we can sell that quickly. We're not bringing it with us back to Czech Republic! Anyone interested? Anyway, I am hoping that between the sale of all of the miscellaneous stuff that we'll have enough for at least one of our major home improvements (i.e. the floors).

Hubby has been working on the stuff I can't do (i.e. home lease stuff in Czech language and other). Some of the other stuff he's done/doing I have had to either take over, or light a fire under his butt about. Between his current anxiety and depression and his ADD, it is necessary. It's a miracle that I am doing so well.

I also worked in our front and back gardens, the day before yesterday, and spruced up the deck. A photographer is coming tomorrow (Tuesday) to photograph the house exterior areas. The interior, at this moment, is crazy chaos with boxes and stuff all over the place.

There is still so much to do.
