I'm not sure, raging vortex. My husband and I will have just moved to Czech Republic by then and everything might still be in boxes. We did sort out our Christmas decorations, a few days ago, and combined the ones to keep into one big box. The rest we put in a "freebies" box. Some were trashed. It's our plan to spend Christmas with my husband's sister who lives outside of Prague. She'll likely have some sort of decorations. Or at least a lot of Christmas goodies! In Czech Republic, the main celebration and gift exchange is actually Christmas Eve evening. For little kids, "Little Jesus" brings the gifts (and even the decorated tree) on that night. Not Saint Nicholas, Santa Claus, or Father Christmas. They have a separate day for Saint Nicholas, on that saint's day (early December).
I don't usually decorate the whole house. Usually a wreath on the door, and most decorations in the living room area, with maybe a few things in other rooms. My favorite decorations are my advent calendar and a ceramic Christmas tree with lights. My mother made both of them.
What is your favorite holiday food?
