My car is gone. Gotta admit that I did, indeed, shed a few tears. It's really a bit like an end to a major era in my life. One that represented the most independent brief period of my life.

Of course many things in my home (and my home, itself) are mine as well as my husband's, and I contributed plenty towards it all not just financially, but in love and care. However, there aren't too many things that were/are 100% mine and mine alone. Things I bought for me, vs. received as a gift. My husband told me to just look out of the window and wave goodbye. I did. I then looked again after those tears, and it was gone. Of course the money will go towards improvements to our house, which we're selling. We definitely hope to make a good amount when selling it. That will finance our future lives. Our retirements.
