I ended up having to go to urgent care for my thumb after all. It was still bleeding after 20 minutes and since it was already relatively late in the evening I decided to just go rather than risk having to wait in the ER for who knows how long. I was in and out in 30 minutes. They put surgical gel foam in it so I didn’t have to have it cauterized, which was nice because it wasn’t painful at all.

My mom told me that my grandfather will have a military funeral due to the fact that he was in the Air Force for a number of years in his early 20s. My grandma has requested that the folded flag be presented to my son. This is a high honor and I’m honored that she chose my son to receive it. Honestly he has always been the apple of my grandfather’s eye. My brother just had his daughter less than three years ago so my grandpa was too deep into his dementia to really get to know her. My grandfather has always said he wants my son to go to Princeton university for some reason! I do not know if he will want to, or get the grades necessary, or anything like that but I might buy him a PU tee shirt just to wear lol. If he wasn’t in such bad shape I would run up there and grab one and take a picture of my son in it. I don’t even know if there is anyone physically on campus though. I will look into it.
