Anyway, just saying, it was hard to hear from dr phil of all people. But he was describing the woman's relationship with her abusers, and with her parents who never acknowledged the abuse. Also my family's attitude towards me.

I don't want to derail LT's thread, but have you read the book
Stuff by Randy Frost and Gail Steketee? It describes several people who hoard and gets into the way their backgrounds contribute to their hoarding patterns. It's a fascinating book.
