I have never been triggered by grounding exercises.

what's always helped me is using the senses.

so their's the classic one: name 5 things you can hear, smell, taste, etc, but I also have a box of stuff that I can touch, or things that smell nice, or make a noise, something comforting to " bring me back" to reality.

senses are a wonderful tool sometimes
