While in therapy, they were therapists. I really didn't see them as a parent or anything like that - I hired my last one specifically to be a person to check in with regularly and keep me honest with myself when it came to my depression, etc. What is that? A checkpoint? Not sure what the word would be. (I bet those Germans have a word for it. LOL)

Beyond therapy, they have all sort of become old, almost life-long friends now - no therapy involved whatsoever.
