This seems to fit for my T as well. He'd want to be more of a coach or mentor, where I put him in more of a paternal role at times, from whom I seek comfort. And a general support person. And "authority figure," which he doesn't want to be considered--yet he goes by "Dr. [last name]" (and says clients should call him that vs. his first name). And, I suppose, at times, he's in the role of object of desire for me, too (but he says we can't control who we fantasize about, so...).
