This is pretty normal especially when you've constant thoughts running in your mind or you're stressed/worried about something. This happens to me a lot. I'm just 28. I'm deeply lost in thoughts and fail to respond when someone is talking. I would have heard them, but since I'm already lost, I recollect, stumble and give a delayed and slow response. But if you feel it is disturbing beyond a point and you need to take control, start meditating. Do some breathing and physical exercises to calm yourself. It helps
