Yes, you can have bipolar without euphoria. BethRags points you to a good source of information. I have bp1 and have spent lots of my life in a manic/euphoric state. Euphoria feels like you can do anything in the world, regardless of whether you have any experience or not. You are on top of the world. I experienced the world in technicolor - everything is physically and emotionally sharper, more focused and ripe for the picking, and you know you can pick whatever you want. You do not listen to others. You know you are right, no matter what the situation. You charge ahead with your plans regardless of others and the reality of the situation you are in. You do not understand that you are in this state, so you cannot understand the havoc you are wreaking upon yourself and others.
I would venture to guess that you are describing hypomania, a milder form of mania, but no less intrusive on your life.
