My psychiatrist thinks we should celebrate it with my sister and brother to have a "family meeting" about our father, but I doubt it will happen. I do not wish to host a Thanksgiving dinner because my house will either still be up for sale (don't want to make a mess) or just sold. We won't have it at my sister's house or where my brother lives (my dad's house) because those houses are so messy that it's impossible. My brother-in-law and nephew are on the verge of being hoarders. My brother is just an award-winning mess maker. My psychiatrist recommended going out to eat for Thanksgiving, and going somewhere where there is a private room for us. Going out is a likely possibility, but whether that includes my siblings, I don't know.

My father lives in an assisted living facility right now. They hardly give us times to even visit him, 6 feet away with masks on sitting outside the facility in the cold. We can't celebrate it with him.

Christmas Eve and day? We hope that we will spend that in Czech Republic with my husband's sister and nephews. We are likely going to be moved there by then. I hope. Czech Republic is currently having a terrible resurgence of covid-19 because they opened up too soon after the first wave. That's what happens when people think the virus is not that big of a deal.
I don’t blame you for not wanting to be with family. And yeah some places opened too quick.
